Ingredients
1 c. hot mashed potatoes
1 c. cold water
1 c. potato water
1 scant c. melted lard
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 cake yeast
Mix potatoes, water, potato water, lard, sugar and yeast and let stand two hours. Add 1 tbsp. salt, beaten eggs and flour. Mix well to make a stiff dough and knead well. Grease top and set in ice box. Remove from refrigerator 3 hours before baking and shape into rolls or biscuits. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
