Aunt Clara's Cookies

Note: Here's another favorite from Aunt Clara. The recipe card is titled simply 'Cookies'. If you look at the card you'll see the flour, salt and soda should be sifted together...a least that's how I read it.

1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter
2 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 cup chopped pecan nuts

Bake at 350 degrees 10 to 15 minutes.
